Freshwater AIO as quarantine tank?

I bought my son this 15 gallon aquarium and just started the fishless cycle a few days ago.

I'm already thinking about upgrading it due to the small footprint.

It has a filtration area in the back, you can check out the pictures to see how the filtration works.

Any reasons why this could or could not be used for a saltwater quarantine tank?

It’s just a AIO tank...so yes you can use it as a QT

Ok, I had read somewhere that it was designed for freshwater so was trying to think why it couldn't be used for saltwater.

I think the "designed for freshwater" probably comes from the addition of the lower spectrum plant LEDs and the biological filter media which isn't used too much in saltwater anymore. I used a similar tank as a seahorse tank though for my wife.....worked great

Perfectly acceptable for a saltwater QT.

Remove the carbon pad if you need to medicate though [emoji846]
