I ordered a few fish online, one of them is working harder to breathe and has hardly moved since being added to the first QT. It is upright and seemling alert, will move out of the way if another goby scoots by, but hasn't traveled more than a few inches. I'm doing the first transfer in TTM tonight and will treat with prazi at the end of this upcoming cycle. Would it be benificial to do a FW dip for this individual during the transfer? It's a hi fin goby ~1.5" inches for the record.

I thought I saw it on a Humblefish thread though it may have been someone else that suggested this as prazi can cause the parasites to spaz out and potentially cause a little gill damage (if they are there). So I would say that it would probably help make it a little easier on the fish.

I got back and it was on his side in the QT, but righted itself. Decided to go ahead with the FW dip as there isn't much to lose at this point. It immediately sank to the bottom with his mouth gaping and no gill movement. Didn't look good so I added him back to the QT for now. I'll try the dip again before the transfer if it recovers. Seemingly bleak at the moment.

Sounds like the fish is suffering shipping stress. I normally don’t treat for anything in the first 48 - 72 hours, the doubled stress from shipping and the treatment is just too rough on fish. Fish can die from shipping stress, but only time and a good environment will help them.
