freshwater dip for chaeto?

hi guys i just fresh water dipped my chaeto for a hour or two just to make sure i dont get any parasite or any unwanted creatures. Im wondering if i overdone my fresh water dip. I saw a post saying that they even fresh water dipped for 6 hours or put it in freeze and it worked for them. Let me know how u guys qt chaeto or macroalgae.

hi, i normally just do a quick dip and swish no more than a min or two ,knock out flatties and nudi's,have forgotten,left for about 4-5 hrs was white ;Facepalm

lol maybe some of them could be dead already. if this one dies im getting another one again but with quick coral dip and a rinse in a rodi water!
