Freshwater dip killed my flasher wrasse

Oh my, that’s is by far the nicest flasher I have seen! I imagine they have quite a high price tag because of how rare they are right?
Yes. Haven’t been collected in a couple years but now starting to show up.

he was in a 6’ tank 30” tall and he still wanted more tank. They are very touchy with stress similar to Diamond tail. Also he was over 5.5”. They get big

Next time, suggest you do a 10 minute dip using Ruby Reef Hydroplex in the same tank saltwater. It is low stress and will kill the bugs on the fish. It saved three of mine. If they do have a parasite, they still need to be treated in hospital because of the bug's lifecycle.

Thank you! I’ll take a look into that for sure

From everything I read it says 5 mins is the max. Only reason I did a dip was because I wanted to check for flukes. But yes lesson learned don’t do a dip unless theirs symptoms of a disease
I am sorry you went through it! It’s our mistakes that help us learn and grow in this hobby!
