Do you guys freshwater did your zoas? If so how long do you do it for?

I have done it in the past to remove flatworms and it really made the zoanthids mad for days, now I use revive.

I used to give any new additions a quick rinse under the faucet before I would add them to the DT. It definitely wasn't 100% affective against all pests, but it did help in most cases.

Fresh water dips could be efficient to remove some of the pests.
You could leave the polyps there for up to 3 or 5 minutes, depending on the polyp.
The longer the exposure to fresh water and the most stressed the polyps are, the longer they will take to get back to normal.
Some species aren't strong for a long dip, some others will do OK.
Most times a quick dip of 30 seconds are enough to remove small crustaceans, worms and so on..
The main thing is to make sure the polyps aren't hurt before any kind of dipping. In that case a dipping could hurt more than be a benefit.
Grandis.
