Freshwater Ich ICH-x and UV?

UV sure, but as far as the meds go, may as well get whats known to work, or is it a cost/availability thing?

I believe seen @Jay Hemdal say that freshwater ich is different than saltwater ich so on that basis I would say medications would be different you would of thought

freshwater ich is very easy to murder. first, if your fish species allows it, increase the temp to 82* Fahrenheit, maybe use some garlic, and if that doesnt help, use super ick cure or something.

Can I use ich-x and a UV light??
I think your question is, will UV light affect ich-x? UV will break down chloroquine, I don't know about formalin or malachite green which are the two ingredients in ich-x.

Ich-x doesn't work well for marine ich, I see you are in Canada, so it may be a supply issue that is causing you to use it.

Had ich once in freshwater. Used Paraguard and raised the temps to 88. Not sure which did the trick. Fresh easier to resolve because high temps not killing most fish.

I don't recommend you use both of them in the same time. If you are not using a high volume ich-x, UV is fine with it, but not making any different for the treatment. However, UV IS NOT helping to kill Ich. so you'd better turn it off when dosing copper or ich-x, make sure the temperature is 82 degree
