Friend, foe or nuisance ?

I have been noticing these white blobs showing up with tubes protruding from them. Seem to mostly be on the under side of rock work and even in the sump. Blobs are sort of a jellyish texture. Definitely not rigid. Sorry for the bad pic but sure you guys with experience know exactly what they are.

Cool thanks for fast response. I knew I had pineapple sponges when they were tiny and looked like pineapples in my sump but these guys are pretty good size.

I would have to agree that these are not pineapple sponges. This is an evasive sponge and sends out runners to expand and grow.

I recommend removal or rock work. I've dealt with this sponge before and it would engulf my zoa frags.
