So I was feeding my tank this afternoon and noticed, for lack of a better word, polyps on a rock where my green star polyps used to reside. I moved them to a new location about 2 weeks ago and just noticed these today. Please help me identify.

Existing green star polyps in new location.

Thanks for any help.

They just look like more star polyps to me what color is the membrane that they are shooting off of?

It is in a shaded area from the rock above so I can't get a great look at them yet. I figured they probably are but everyone on here is way smarter than I am so it's safe to ask for opinions.

LOL... I don't know about smarter maybe more experienced and longer in the hobby but that's different topic altogether .

If the base is purple in color they are just additional star polyps that branched off... you might want to be careful they can be very nasty little creatures and will sting some neighboring corals to death.

Thanks. I'm not too worried with their current location but if they continue to spread I may need more "experienced" advice.
