Though pic is not clear but It look like a giant flat worm.. it's not a good parasite. Hard to spot on the coral but it will irritate and possible eat the coral depend on the type of coral you carry..

It was about 1 in long the pattern that you see was consistent from top to bottom. is it something that will or has reproduced and will tank over my tank. is there any fish that will kill or control the spread of this parasite

The pic is him in my sink

Looks to be a polyclad flatworm. No good, especially if you have clams. Also eats snails. I am not sure the best method of removal, however I will warn you that they break in half very easily if you are trying to manually remove them and guess what? Now you have two, because they will both continue to live.

Depend on what it is exactly.
If its AEFW it will have some predictors but medication is safest option of there are many in the system...

I have a lot of different coral. They all look.... Okay.. but I know this is not good. Idk how long I've had em I have added a few things recently but I do dunk em in iodine for like 10 minutes before they go in.. I don't know if this is best practice ...better practice but my local fish store said that's what they do. So there's a potential of them being in there for a long time. Since u haven't really added much in the last 6 months. And I did have a clam that got smoked in 2 days and I had no idea y.. it was just a baby like 1 in long and I just guessed that it didn't get transported well. And it had aptasia on it so I went to town with a knife trying to pick it out of every crevice. I don't have aptasia right so I got it all but maybe I killed the clam..... Now I'm thinking these jerks killed him.
I so fell in love with him.. he was so blue and cool looking. I really did lose a little faith in my tank for awhile after that... And I'm just kinda getting back into it right now. Thats y there havent been many new additions. So I'm freaking out my hole tank is filled with em... I need a new fish that eats em... Do the work I cannot[emoji26]

That's a polyclad flatworm. It'll eat all your snails and clams. Kill it with fire. They get huge, I would know. lol

Iodine alone is not enough in my experince. I use coral x. I see flat worms fall off the vital when i dip in it.

Get a biological predator if you can. Dusky wrasse patrols my 450 and no flatworm dare appear. I’d never add medications of any kind to my display.
