Here’s the backstory.
I purchased a few corals from a local coral vendor about one week ago, one of which was a nice sized hammer. After a temperature acclimation, I dipped all the corals in two different types of dips and removed some nasty little flat worms. I dip all my corals in coral RX and then follow that with an iodine dip. After a few days, I got home from work extremely late and decided to look at the tank with a flashlight to inspect everything. On the base of my hammer coral a found something poking out of what I initially thought was an abandoned tube worm tube. I’m not sure what it is and I’ve never seen anything like it in my aquariums in the past. To me, it looks like a filter feeding invert of some sort. I love little critters and biodiversity, but I also love a pest free tank so if I can get a positive ID on this little guy I would greatly appreciate it! I’ve attached a couple pictures below, they’re iPhone photos so I apologize
