Friend or foe?

This was found at the base of a blastomussa. It never comes out any farther than this. It retreats very fast into its clear tube as soon as it detects any motion. There is a second, much smaller one next to it. Do I snip it off or leave it?

Tube worm of some sort. most are harmless, but they can multiply fast

99% probability that it’s a vermetid. There are multiple species. Personally, I’ve never found them to be that bothersome, but a lot of people despise them. If you notice it irritating your corals (they put out a web or little streamers/tentacles that they use to catch food), or if you’re concerned about them multiplying, get rid of it (Google/search here for the best method).
