Ok, as I was having my regular WC as I do every 2 weeks, I noticed some funky colors in my refugium caught up in my cheato was some worms. About 5 of them I got out but the longest was about 2.5 inches. I thought it was bristle worms but it didn't look like them.
Any thoughts or ID's folk? appreciate it.

I think it's just a bristle worm looks just like the ones I find in my fug I might be wrong but I think "fire worm" is just another name of a bristle worm

Friend! Detritus eating bristle worm. They only eat dead stuff and left over food. They will sting you if you touch them.

Fire worm is another name for bristle worm. Most of them are benifical, hopefully someone can verify if this is one of the good ones. ^^ There we are posted while posting mine :D

Look the same as mine, Ive never had them hurt anything.

Sounds great. I'll try it out and leave them in the fuge. I'll remember that they sting, I'm sure it must be nasty. Thanks for all the feedback folks. appreciate it alot

If you don't want as many, cut back on feeding your tank.

They all eat detritus. You're thinking of a eunicid worm. Those eat snails and corals.

Yea I would call a eunicid, a fire worm. Unless your calling it fire worm because it can burn you. I though he was asking about a eunicid . Miscommunication sorry :)

I need gills *_*

Prob there the whole time you just didn't notice and there's more there now than you think. They come out when lights are off.

Trust me if something dies in your tank and you don't have any your in trouble. But if you really don't want the getting you a arrow crap they love them. Arrow crabs will take care of the rest of your clean up crew to. Including your snails. I have about a hundred in my fuge that get most of the food that gets blown into my overflow when I turn my return pump back on after feeding. When something dies they will make short work of it.
