Hi all -

I just added a small bottle of Fritz Turbo 900 that I purchased from my LFS. They had it in the fridge and the sell by date is good on the bottle.

When I added it to the tank, rather large brown chunks came out all over the tank. Please see the pictures. Is this normal?

Might be settled bacteria. Is it removing the ammonia?

It's normal. Had a bottle like that recently. I swear all it is protein skimmer waste and it's just clumps from that. Should shake bottle more next time before delivery

It's hard for me to imagine shaking the bottle more than I did.

I did reach out to Fritz who also told me this is totally normal. The debris are the cells that the bacteria live on. It should begin to disappear in a few days. I can confirm it has started to disappear.

Also, to be thorough, as it was raised in another thread, the numbers on these bottles represent the date in month-day-year format. Mine was 120222 so December 02, 2022.
