I thought I had placed my frogspawn far enough away from anything else in the tank when I first put it in there. Well, a few days after I bought it, it expanded and one tentacle got ahold of my trumpet coral. As soon as I saw this I separated them and re positioned the trumpet and it seemed to be far enough away again and recovered within a few days. Well now my frogspawn had gotten even bigger and had one really long tentacle and got it again. This time it was at night and I wasn't able to do anything about it. I woke up the next day and saw the spot and moved it to the opposite side of the tank. This sting is much more severe, now the skeleton of the the trumpet is showing where it was stung. It has been 3 days since the last sting. Will dipping the trumpet in coral rx do it any good? And how long do you think it would take it to heal this time?

I would just watch it and make sure the area remains clean. Keep up with your water changes. It should recover on its own. They do have a very long reach dont they? and they do seem to do their dirty work at night.

Thanks and yeah it has doubled the size it was in the store but at least it is happy and doing well.
