Hello, does anyone happen to know what's going on with my Frogspawn? I've had it for just under a month now and it's been doing great, but it slowly retracted out of nowhere and now has this bubble forming where the head was. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's making more frogspawn heads :D Congratulations it's very happy in your system! The bubble is its way of protecting the new head as it forms.

That's awesome news!! I was worried it was a bad thing. Thank you so much!

Here is one example of a new head forming on the frogspawn. I thought I had more pictures of them but apparently not.

So do you think that even though mine doesn't have the tentacles out with the bubble that it's still growing a new head? How long did it take take your new head to completely grow after the bubble formed?

They can take anywhere from a week to 3 weeks. The difference between yours and mine is mine is about 6 years old and has many, many heads yours only had one head and is trying to grow a second. Nine times out of 10 you won't see the tentacles in that situation until the other head is complete.

I love this type of frogspawn and I can't find one nowhere for sale right now and awhile back ago they were everywhere around where I live but now that I want one I can't find one. Do you guy's no where I can find one of these for sale??

Did you try live aquaria or saltwaterfish.com? I often see them there.

I checked live aquaria awhile back ago and they didn't have them but not saltwater aquarium.com but which type is it the branching or the other one because there's two types on live aquaria
