Frogspawn buding??

So this looks to me like my frog spawn is growing a new head at the base of the tissue, is that what this is? I thought they just branched lol

Nope they produce buds as well, and this seems to be doing just that. I'll see if I can get a pic of mine that had seemingly died completely after a bryopsis attack a year ago and is now growing back 8 or so polyps. Really cool glad it's reproducing for you!
