Frogspawn came off its head, need help

My frogspawn came off its head when I tried to reposition it. What do I do now?

I'd leave it alone and see how it does.

Unfortunately the head may survive without a skeleton for some time.

This can happen for many reasons.....

What lights do you use?

How old is your tank?

From the color of the test, my nitrates seems to be around 5-10ppm. I dont have a test kit for the other stuff since I've read that weekly water changes would be fine. I use this light from amazon, asta 20.

tank is about 4 months old.

i was just rescaping and moving the frogspawn around alot so I assume its the stress im causing?

it was nice and fluffy since i got it, about a month ago.

Its night time for my tank now, I've set it on the rock, hopefully it grows back...

Definitely get a test kit for the other parameters.

They all make good kits and testing will make the difference.

The head won't ever regrow a skeleton and I've never heard of them attaching to anything but fingers crossed for sure. Sometimes I have heard of the skeleton regrouping a new head.

I have had that happen once before. I tried attaching it to a rock, it never took hold. Ended up losing the coral.

It's called polyp evacuation I believe.

I would turn down your flow a bit until it attaches if it gets blown around that won't be good.

Yep, turned off my wavemaker, its just the powerhead from the filter making flow now. I'm just worried the fishes and snails will move it. Maybe I'll just put it in a breeder box?

What is your salinity? Temp? Two times I have even seen bailout 1 was temp and another was high salinity. All you can do is leave it alone, more than likely it’s a goner at this point. Sorry

water changes may take care of your parameters for now but you still need test kits to measure them. alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, nitrates and phosphates are the more important ones.
