Hi everyone. I recently had an issue with my doser which decided to dump alot of my alk solution into my tank, causing a rather large alk spike. Ive managed to recover and the water seems in check now. my acans didnt take kindly to the spike, neither did my frogspawn however the acans are recovering nicely but the frogspawn is still suffering. The frogspawns heads, although still attached, are peeling alot. This coral is also my spawning clown fish pair's home, so they constantly irritate the heads so its not recovering well.

In the rather inevitable account the heads fall off has anyone heard or seen a successful regrow story? I could glue them to live rock or lay them in a tub of rubble, but has anyone had any luck with this?

Many Thanks!

Had a frogspawn lose its head once. Figured it was dead and left the skeleton in the corner of my tank. 2 weeks later I noticed a little sliver of color on the skeleton. 1 month later it had fully regrown. Don't toss it yet. If it does lose all of the flesh, throw in a low flow area in your tank and give it a bit to se if it will recover

Many thanks for your reply Kendavjac. Did you find the head and try to save that too? Im wondering if anyone has regrown the skeleton from just a head before.
