I bought a frogspawn frag two days ago and when I first put it in the tank it was slightly opened now it’s almost fully closed.

Tank parameters? Did you dip the coral? Have you seen any critters or any of your fish mess with it?

Ph:8.0 Nitrate:0 temp:80 calcium:400 ppm salinity 1.023 I’ve been dosing marine buffer to raise my ph. I did not dip the coral and I’ve seen nothing in my tank mess with the coral.

What is your alk level? The buffer is likely elevating your alk. Steady alk is much more important then chasing ph.

what types of lights do you have? How long has the tank been up? Too recent tanks or ineffective lights will kill most corals. I does not look dead, but definitely stressed. Maybe wait a few days and see what happens.

Kessil a80 and the tank has been up for 6 months

Softies/lps needs some nutrients in the water to feed them (nitrate, phosphate, ect.). Feeding your fish will provide these nutrients. Then you do water changes to remove these excess nutrients. Too much is bad, and not any is bad. Your frogspawn will starve without these nutrients. Feed your tank more often, if your not doing so
