Frogspawn help! Splitting?

So my frogspawn I’ve had for about A month Has been one of my favorite corals to put into my tank. It Opened up the same day I places into my tank has been open every day since. I got it at the lfs as a 2 head. I’ve noticed another head in the middle forming the past week. Tonight when the lights went off I looked at the tank and noticed the frogspawn heads were all swollen. 3 heads now. There’s the pictures. What does this mean??? Normally isn’t all puffed up at night

Great news. Didn’t know what was going on thought it was really cool though! Never seen the heads puff up like that. I just woke up and it’s not all swollen anymore.

My frogspawn does that when a head is going to split. It looks like it's about to blow up they get so puffed up. Usually right around the mouth they start to puff up, then next thing you know, you have 2 mouths.

That’s exactly what happened. Took a look at the tank before the lights went off and it was extended nicely. Came back a hour later when they shut completely off and 3 separate heads were puffed up huge! Haha I’m a newbie at this so I’m learning something new everyday! At it for 6 months. Started with a 7 gallon but I’m determined to have a successful reef!

Direct feeding will often times cause them to puff up beyond what someone would think is normal.

But typically if a head is splitting, it will puff up right at the mouth to a point where you think it's going to "blow out". It will then recede and 1 mouth will become 1 1/2, then all of a sudden you'll have 2 distinct mouths.
