my frogspawn started to bleach a bit from the middle and can see it shrink from time to time and I’m a bit concerned, I did a water change yesterday since it looked really bad, I changed the carbon but everything else except a goniopora is doing good, I have a Acro and big monti growing well but for the frogspawn I’m not sure what to do

Do you run carbon? I wonder if maybe it’s getting too much light? Could be a multitude of problems I wouldn’t do anything too drastic also If everything else is doing well, could just be a problem that specific coral is having. Maybe also try doing a dip on it. Goodluck!

I’ll try dipping but is there anything else I can do?

Might help if you list your parameters, lights water change schedule. With frogs and other coral, issues can manifest their problems well after the cause.

Besides keeping water parameters in check, not really. But again, if nothing else looks stressed than maybe don’t worry too much. In these scenarios I love doing water changes, maybe do a 25% water change and see if that helps. I often times do larger ones, like 50%+. Goodluck!

Good to know that I’m not the only weird one who enjoys doing water changes.

This location never worked for me and I find best at lower third of tank. In addition, They are stressed wen there is too much light and/or water flow. You want flow but not so aggressive that the polyps are bouncing around vigorously or bent over the skeleton.
Calcium for their skeletal health and should not drop below 390. Assure phosphate is not elevated and salinity not low. Feed 2-3x a week with mysis shrimp

Just anecdotal opinion without your parameters, your water doesn’t look chalky enough to maintain proper calcification. I see macro and micro algae doing well but not so great for calcareous and calcifying organisms. Just a hunch. If you can, what’s your calcium, alkalinity, magnesium and ph in the morning and late afternoon

Without any parameters Just throwing out an idea but I know all my lps corals need the water to be a bit “dirty” or they start looking unhappy and all those macros and soft corals could be out competing it for nutrients
