Hello everyone!
I am relatively new to reef keeping and I am having some trouble reading my two-headed frogspawn. I’ve had it for about three weeks now. Over the past week I have noticed that the skeleton of the coral has started to grow white where the fleshy tissue meets the stony part of the coral. In addition to this, I noticed that zooxanthellae or possibly poop being expelled from the mouth about 2 times per week. It appears to have a brown stringy appearance, and sometimes gooey-looking. Every time it excretes this substance, both of the heads shrink and close up tightly for about an hour or so, until it opens up and looks normal again. I also don’t notice a change in color when it comes to the tissue of the coraI. had it placed a little higher before, so I moved it to the middle portion of my tank. I was just hoping someone could give me feedback. Thanks!
