I have a some frogspawn that doesn’t seem to look like others have have had in the past. As you can see the “tentacles” are not extended. I have had it for a long time and the color seems good. Trying to understand what could be causing it. I don’t think the flow is too high. I was wondering if the light was too bright?
Any thoughts?

That cleaner shrimp can dig in it looking for food this will cause this to happen can even kill it if not stoped... keep an eye on him to make sure he is not doing it...

they also need low to med flow and light the same gentle sway. About 100 par works great for me..

Looks healthy. Tissue isn’t receding. Mod flow and light. I’d maybe try moving it up a bit in the tank as it is on the sand bed.

I’ve never actually seen him in the hammer. He hangs out on the underside of my monti cap.

Probably because they’re hammers and not frogspawn. They look good to me. Do you target feed at all? Does wonders for mine.

I always have a hard time between frogspawn and hammers. Thanks for the clarification.

That's good just try keeping an eye on him when u feed to make sure he stays out. There feet are sharp and spikey it can tear the flesh of ephellia. I have lost them exact way so I don't have shrimp.

Thanks everyone for the quick reply’s. I probably don’t target feed as much as I should. I have some reef roids I can target feed more often.

Be careful not to over do it so you don't have nutrients problems causing algae.

Here is my tank. I suck at taking tank photos.
