Hello. Recently my frogspawn coral has significantly retracted its tentacles. Also, its mouths have started to open and expand. One of the mouths is really wide open. Is this an issue with the coral? If it is an issue, is there any way to correct it? Thanks for any help. Pics below.

I can't really tell but one of those frogspawns is splitting right? When mine splits, it closes up for a while so that may be what your experiencing. Also what are your params

I would be checking parameters. How long has it been like that? Sometimes when doing tank maintenance and stirring things up mine gets sort of like that for a while.
how do your other corals look? You have a leather in the background of the first pic that is not fully extended.

finally, could anything’s be stinging it? Frogspawn is usually the aggressor, not the victim, but chemical warfare can cause that kind of reaction.

Open mouth at times signify hunger. Are you feeding the hammer?
They do best in moderate light and water flow and feedings 2-3X per week
Temp range of 77-79
salinity 1.025
ph 8.1-8.3
