Frogspawn not opening.

Hi Experts, I am new to frogspawn coral. To start with one I picked up a piece recently and as per normal I dipped it before putting it in the tank. And of course I found a flatworm (at least it looked like one) in-between the skeleton.

The coral had not opened fully since day one. After a few day I noticed some dying tissues at one end of the coral (the same place where I found the worm)... and this is how it looks now.

Is it dying? should I be doing something to help the coral?

This is my current parameter levels (I am using a mix of API, Salifert & Red Sea test kits):
Temp: 25.5°c
Salinity: 1.025
Kh: 8 - 9
Ph: 8.0 - 8.2
Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: 5
Nitrites: 0
Phos: 0
Mg: 1350
Cal: 410

If phosphates are truly 0, they could be starving. Might want to try reef roids and target feed them.
Can you tell us aquarium size and lights you're using? Also a full tank shot.

Hi, i am target feeding reef roids. Mine is a 5ft tank. I am also adding Red Sea Coral Energy AB+. This is my tank.

I am using Kessil AP9X at the center and 2 Red Sea Reef 90 LED at the sides.

looks good, how would you rate the water flow they are in? My octospawn actually really enjoys low flow, medium light. 150 par. My hammers love medium flow and par from 150-220

In my experience, when corals are not happy they will not accept food, even if you try to target feed them. I think your Nitrates and Phosphates are too low, you should slowly start elevating those levels to more acceptable ranges. You may have to dose a Nitrate and phosphate additive to do this.

A quick update, the coral didn't make it.. believe the worm had already damaged it too much by the time it was removed...

My only worry now is.. if the worm's eggs might have been released into the tank... any suggestions on what i should be going next.

Flatworm exit, is all I can think of, but I don't know if it works on euphyllia eating flatworms
