Hi everyone, my frogspawn is doing something I have never seen before and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. My frogspawn that I have had for 4 years just started putting off a some clear mucus. This is the second night this week that it has happened. I am a little bit confused because otherwise it seems in pretty good shape. I went through a mini tank crash the last 3 or 4 months and ended up losing half of the heads on this coral, but things have stabilized and the loss stopped. Everything in the tank is bouncing back pretty well including this guy. I have attached a pic of the frogspawn. I did some research and I really don't think it is suffering from brown jelly based off of the symptom list.

Have you noticed any vermatid snails on the skeleton? Those look like vermatid snail mucus nets used to capture food.

You know what, now that you mention it I bet that's what it is. I've got a handful of vermetids in my tank and I just realized there's a few tubes on my frogspawn's skeleton. I've heard a lot of mixed things about vermetids ranging from they definitely kill coral to totally harmless. I'll probably just crush the tubes on the skeleton and call it a day just to be safe.
