Hi, my frogspawn has been healthy and happy until a couple of weeks ago when a spot on its edge started to look pinched. I thought it might be splitting but in the last two days it's been separating as shown in the pic, lower right.

I'm battling cyano this week using Chemiclean but it doesn't seem to be adversely affecting anything else in the tank. Other LPS and softies are doing ok, cyano aside.

Is there anything I can do for the frogspawn or should I just let nature take its course?

Thanks!

So sorry to see that...it looks like that part of the frog is bailing out.

Have you been tracking phos and nitrate while getting rid of the cyno?

Sometimes nutrients get stripped to quickly and euphyllia can react this way.

Not that this is the situation.

What are your phos and nitrate usually sitting at?

Thanks Merkey. Nitrate is under 5 ppm per API and phosphate is 0.04 ppm per Red Sea kit. Both slightly but not significantly lower than usual.

It looks to be a wall...

From what Ive read and learned here, once the wall starts to go it usually takes out the whole thing.

Sometimes cutting the bad part off them can stop it from spreading but I only have branching in my tank. The 1 wall I have gotten was fragged badly and died :(
