A frogspawn I have which recently split (bought as two heads now is three) is showing skeleton. My tank is fairly mature, nearing two years and parameters are stable. One of my two clowns has hosted in this frogspawn for around 6-7 months now, after their b.t.a died in one of my powerheads. Never seemed to bother the frogspawn before the split now I see some skeleton poking out on both new heads( sorry for the weird pic) however an older head ( facing the rear) seems to be doing just fine even with continued hosting. I’ve seen some pretty extreme skeleton before when I had a peppermint shrimp tear both original heads to pieces but it seemed to recover fairly quickly. Is the clown the likely culprit and is there anyway other than isolation to stop the hosting and save the two heads?

I have a 15+ head frogspawn currently and I'll notice stages for splitting. 1st I'll see weird bubbles forming in the head, 2nd they will start to split, 3rd they will retract and almost look sick. After that they have fully split and look perfectly fine.

Alright so by that observation I may just be fine. Ironically this is one of the first coral in my tank and till now I’ve never seen a split so seeing it split and look sick was depressing. Ty for the info
