I've noticed this past week that my frogspawn/hammer looks ticked off. It's not extending like it usually does.. is this what happens when they split?

Salinity: 1.025
PH: 8.3
Alk: 8.3
Calc: 440
Nitrates: near 0(cant read, but not bottomed out)

All other LPS are looking great and extended, except my plate, but I think because I overfed it and it's trying to spit it out. I feed my LPS everyday with brine shrimp and RODs Pacific plankton.

There is a torch next to it, but the sweepers do not reach far enough. A hammer is touching when both are extended.

They don’t do that when splitting. However, they do retract when they have an infection. Keep an eye on it for 1) brown strings coming out (expelling zooxanthellae) and 2) brown jelly (bacteria). I typically do an iodine dip at this point as a precaution.

Not really sure what you are showing. nothing jumps out as being wrong to me. LPS corals don't "split" in a short period of time, they actually "grow" into separate heads overtime. So you'd almost have to have a time-lapse video of over several months to actually see the "split" in action.

It is usually extended 2 or 3 times more than in the picture

I was reading that they form a bubble over their mouths when they start to split. Was wondering if that is wat was happening
