I read something that said that frog spawn needs to have 6 to 8 inches around it. I put a large piece in the corner of my 20g nano, and although the skeleton isn’t touching the glass it’s 1/2” from the glass and some of the technicals are shrunken and are certainly on the glass. It’s pretty much right up against the glass in the corner. there’s plenty of space in front of it and on the sides. It seems happy and i like it there, but i’m wondering if putting frogspawn right up against the glass is a big no-no. Is that OK or should I find another spot for it? Thank you!

The recommended 6-8 inches that you read is probably for space between the frogspawn and other corals. Frogspawn can have long sweeper tentacles that will damage or kill other corals.

With that placement it’ll be difficult to clean the glass.

It'll damage the tissue, eventually. This was an old maintenance account where I couldn't get a scraper between the glass/euphyllia. I would break it down and start it over every year or so.
