Hey all!

Got this double head of frogspawn from a tidal gardens sale a couple months ago. It has been doing great since then until a couple days ago. Pics are of it last week and then just now. Other corals in the system are healthy, including a torch and hammer (pic included).

Right side is dead and bailed out. Not sure if that is brown algae or jelly. I would get that coral out. If left side is salvageable it needs dipped and right side removed.

Alk is getn low. Not sure if you are running there or it dipped down but may be why you see dip in calcium

Gotcha. Removed it last night, dipped the left side, waiting to see how it goes. Thank you for the advice.

Fairly new tank, but ALK keeps dipping even with water changes, so going to start dosing as well.

Alk stability is very important for euphyllia. Nitrate should be lowered to 10ppm and phos brought up a little to about 0.10

Your nitrates and phosphates are fine where they are. Dont try and trace any specific numbers. LPS will enjoy what you currently have.

You want to aim for 0.01 phos for every 1ppm nitrate. i agree it doesnt need to be dead on.
