Just as I struggled to get rid of green hair algae, now I am getting brown algae. Is this normal? Should I treat the tank with something to get rid of it or let it run its course.
Some background on my tank. It's a 2 yr old 45 gal JBJ rimless which is lightly stocked. 3 fish and a shrimp. Have about 8 corals. All LPS and softies. My CUC consist of snails. Nassarius, turbos, and trochus.
I tested my tank parameters on 4-5. 0 phosphates, nitrates usually run around 20 ppm, 0 ammonia, PH is 8.0, salinity is 1.023, temp stays constant at 78.3. I do water changes every other week.
Oh, on top of everything else. I just lost my black clown. What is going on inside my tank?
