Is it normal for the starfish to push it's stomach out this much?

How long has it been like this and how old is your tank? I’ve read they expel to eat but it doesn’t look like he’s eating a huge meal? I have no advice...I’ve read they’re kinda difficult to keep happy. Another member will know better than me.

It's been like this just today. My tank is 9 months old.
