So every person almost that has come to my house asks me when am I going to frag those froot loops.
Well I had only ever fragged Palys before never zoas. Well last night I did my first zoa frags where I cut the colony into 5 frags.
May have not been smart to try my first time with such nice zoas but everything seemed to go well. Besides the small palytoxin poisoning I endured. (Was not that bad felt like I drank a ton of Red Bull and yes Chris I know I did not take your warning but as soon as I was done I asked my wife to pick up gloves) But the bottom line is that I do have 4-5 frags now of 1-4 polyps. I am going to give them a couple weeks to heal.

I think you were just getting a buzz off of the adrenaline from fragging some sweet zoas.

palytoxin would have made you have shortness of breath and you would have had a fever at a minimum.

BTW, hold me one of those frags!

Wise man once said " he who successfully fragments will share his success"....okay so I'm not a wise man.....but that's great work fraggin a super nice zoo

Also I only have 5 frags and at least 10 people asked for one. I will get those who asked first and go from there. I also would prefer to wait a couple weeks.

Just a suggestion. let them sit in your tank for a while. Once you see them starting to grow a bit then I would sell them. Fruit loops do not do well after fragging. Unless you were able to get part of the rock they were on to frag not just scrape the off. Ive fragged several zoas and palys and these are not best survivors.

I did not have to scrap they grew over a large piece of glue. All I had to do was seperate them. I also am holding onto them until I know they are healthy.

Cool. They should do then. I know I made the mistake and I know others who've made the mistake of selling them to quick and not letting them heal.
