Frozen Brine Shrimp

I have been putting the shrimp in a cup with tank water until thawed. I have been reading and watching lately, that it should be rinsed. Although what I saw on some videos (a disgusting brown muck) is nothing like what I am seeing in the cup when I thaw my shrimp.

First, I mix the frozen cube with a small amount of tank water. For spot feeding, I use a 10ml syringe with a balloon holder on it:

Some, just use a turkey baster.

Otherwise, I just drip a bunch in. I get maybe 3-5 feedings per cube.

I do the same thing and I too don't get the brown soup from brine shrimp. Maybe it's a good brand who knows lol. But my Po4 is. 025 and my nitrates are zero so I'm gonna keep on doing it this way. At least till I see a reason to stop. Jmo

Mysis is a much better food source. Not many nutrients in brine shrimp unless they're gut loaded. JMO

Brine is worthless, do youself a favor and don't feed it. If your set on it, just put n some tank water and dump it in.
