Is it ok to feed only different kinds of frozen foods most the time?
Or is it better to use high quality pellets and just use frozen once in a while.
Thanks.
Paul.

Thanks everyone! I have been using Hikari and lrs which I have read are good foods.
I only feed pellets when I am feeling less energetic.....I was just making sure I was giving the correct care!!

Need high fat and proteins. Some pellets may be higher in those than frozen. Depends on witch one. I use a wide variety of frozen mostly. And Nori on a clip for Snoopy the Flameback Angel.

Frozen food is very good for the fish. I usually let the food thaw and mix with aquarium water, then drain the water and feed the shrimp without adding additional liquids towards the tank.

I do a mix of foods. At lunch time they get a pinch NLS Thera+A & Hikari seaweed extreme pellets, then at dinner time they get a frozen cube of mysis or brine shrimp and a small square of Rod's herbivore blend. I'm pretty sure I'm overfeeding, but the fish, corals, and GHA are all happy..

We presently feed frozen only, but it is not like we are adamant about it. Our present fish like the frozen mix, if we get fish that have more plant needs we would switch. It depends on what is in your tank in the end And what their nutritional needs are. I would like to train ours to also eat pellets but only so we could auto feed them when needed.

This was going to be my question. I would like something that is easy for daily use. I have 2 auto feeders so I could do 2 different foods then most days do frozen but if we are out of town for a couple days would like to know the fish will be ok.

I do one cube frozen spirulina brine shrimp with just a couple theta a pellets (the fire shrimp love hunting for the pellets on the sand bed) when the lights come on... then one small sheet of nori on a clip for the tang and foxface around noon.. They eat ALL of it - trimmed down so the only bit left is trapped between the clamp lol. Then one cube of mysis in the late afternoon.. every once in a while if my fish are looking super hungry at night I do one more cube of mysis.. My tank is new (barely three months) and going through some ugly phase but starting to clear up... this seems to be keeping my fish very happy and fat (six line, flame hawk, coral beauty, sailfin, foxface + two fire shrimp).. I did have some gnarly algae issues but seems to me more new tank syndrome... they seem to be getting under control now slowly... I was wondering if this was like too much food or about right.. they eat it all VERY fast each feeding.
