Frozen food <=> hydroids link?

Hi,

I recently discovered digitate hydroids in my tank and have been doing research on them. One thing I don't understand: what's the link with frozen food? Seems like I could keep using it as long as I feed during the day when the hydroids aren't out.

I'm not aware of frozen being any worse than pellets as far as fueling hydroids. I think overfeeding in general would be the issue.

That makes more sense...I just keep reading where the advice is to stop or reduce the use of frozen cubes.
