I would like to use some IQF (individually quick frozen) shell-on shrimp as part of my feeding program. But all frozen shrimp seem to include sodium tripolyphosphate as an ingredient. Wondering if anyone has experience or information on whether or not sodium triphosphate is safe for fish, anemones, etc.
Two other points. I was thinking that shell on shrimp might have less of the chemical. And even “fresh” shrimp from Chicago fishmongers are frozen for shipment and then they thaw.
Thanks in advance.
