Frozen shrimp over Mysis Shrimp

I’m planning to buy a Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse and a Red Scooter Dragonet on LiveAquaria tonight for Black Friday

But, still knowing they are carnivores, I can’t feed them mysis or brine shrimp due to personal ...
I was wondering if I could switch their carnivore diet consisting mostly of mysis and brine shrimp into some finely cut Store-Bought Frozen Shrimp
My concern is if they will accept it especially the dragonnet as I heard they were pretty hard to get eating.

Also, I was wondering if the dragonnet would be compatible with some Nassarius Snails as they would need to compete for food on the sand and thus, one of em would be underfed

Your wrasse will likely accept finely cut shrimp, if you don't mind me asking, why no mysis shrimp? As for the Scooter, I wouldn't hope or plan on it eating it, or most other frozen foods. It will be compatible with Nassarius, but your Scooter feeds on very small microfauna on your substrate and rocks, and it's extremely difficult to wean them off.

As for no mysis shrimp, it’s because in my religion (buddhism) it is a sin to kill animals so I try to avoid feeding any live animal or the less I can so by using large shrimps, I only use 1 animal instead of dozens of mysis shrimps. Everyone has their beliefs

Every One has to respect that. Try the shrimp. needs to be as finely chopped as possible .

Of course, I can respect that, I was just curious. The wrasse should be just fine accepting other meaty foods such as a chopped shrimp. If you can keep a very dense population of copepods in your system you may be able to keep that Scooter happy, but they still have a poor track record in closed systems. I appreciate your consideration to pass on it, a lot of hobbyists wouldn't think twice and just add it anyway.

Fine chopped will be easier for them but wrasses are pigs they will grab a piece that won’t fit and hit it against anything LR CoRals clam shell etc to break off pieces and fight for that one big piece all tho none of them can eat it whole lol

Edit: That’s the deal with my red head, leopard, flasher, and now even a tiny 6 line wrasse, always grabbing more than they could chew also they are predators had a melanarus that loved flipping and killing my snails and hermits kept that in mind they will be on the hunt as long as they are up.

ha, that reminds me of when I got a Melanarus in for a friend a few years back. That thing slurped snails out of their shells all the time.

lol yeah they are greedy, he was a beautiful fish but had to sell him idk why I felt my clam was going to be added to his list but once he took down my one and only red leg hermit aka Tank in front of my eyes that was the last straw I was fond of Tank

I’m so sorry. Must have been a big loss. I have three of em and they aren’t that active. Aswell as my two peppermint shrimps and cleaner shrimp.

If the tank is established and have a good sized refugium, and you can see many pods in tank and fuge, I guess it will be ok to Add the scooter
