I used these on my QT tanks. They've been sterilized and recharged with new filter pads. Two are complete, one has a small crack in the suction pipe under the water level (doesn't affect operation) and it does not include bio media rocks. They are little ceramic rocks that house bacteria for biological filtration. They can be replaced with rock rubble or you can purchase a small bag of filter media. These filters do not come with activated carbon bags.
