For sale, two NIB Hamilton Technology Bali Sun Pendants with two 250w 14k bulbs and electronic ballasts. $350 EACH new, selling them for $250 each shipped.
Yes, these are halides, but this is top of the line, current generation halide technology. They allegedly have far less heat and are much better than the halides of like 15 years ago, especially with the dimmable electronic ballast. Compare them to the closest, say, ecotech equivalents (for instance $800+ at BRS for a 190w xr30G5 pro, out of stock) - and some will assert that the halides will grow SPS much better (this is not the subforum for that lighting debate, but one thing to consider. Can provide usernames of well respected SPS keepers on this forum who believe this, but I'm not going to tag them here of course.

Anyway, I was going to move to an shallow reef acro + maybe a magnifica biotope tank, but that's not in the cards anytime this year (my build will be different), and I'm very reluctantly selling them because they're just taking space.
Mounting/coverage suggestions from the manufacturer.

Thank you for your email. Each Bali Sun will cover 2-3 feet of tank length depending on how high you hang it above the water.
I recommend starting it at around 8” – 12” above the water and lowering or raising it depending on your light needs and the amount of heat
transfer (which should be minimal since it is being suspended above the water). Start there and see how your corals respond, then raise or lower
it. You can go down to 6” above. Most customers I speak with suspend it about 12” above. Much of it will depend on what is in your tank.
