Is there a hole in the bottom?

Yes there is..
It is small media reactor, only 12" high.

Just strange there is two inlets and a bottom exit also.

Water can not get out the hole.. There is a cone at the bottom so I am guessing this could hang on the aquarium or go outside the sump.
The hole is to let water in so the bottom does not want to float.
