FTS has me down (Full Tank Syndrome)

My tank is now pushing 2 years and I find myself with no room to add anything else to my tank. It’s beautiful for sure but it’s lost that excitement that only new additions seem to bring. I look back on my choices and ponder certain corals as maybe being mistakes. I certainly could give everything a trim, but at the same time I do appreciate the accomplishment of seeing the tank grown out.

I would think many in our community go through this. Besides “get a bigger tank” What are some things everyone does to keep things fresh when this happens?

I know for me, if it wasn’t for some corals that change (color, shape, ect) I wouldn’t have much to look forward to.

Now your goal becomes years not new stuff

Keep it this way for ten. Uninvaded and producing corals. Join the ranks of mega old setups, they may not change much but they endure and you can measure the export production value of the system, frag mass traded, vs new stuff it has within

A bigger tank will fix that issue (and create several new ones)

Get another tank
If thats not an option, I see that you have mainly softies and lps in your reef. You could try fragging some up and making room for more challenging corals like sps. Slowly transitioning into sps corals would definitely keep the hobby fresh for you.
