Fuge Cleanout

I run a triton system and have a really solid, well grown fuge at the moment. How often do people trim back or clean out the cheato?

My well-respected LFS guy says to clean the cheato when it fills 2/3 of the refug. I haven't gotten to that point yet. Just sharing what he said ....

Depending on how far you are from your LFS and what there policy is, they might pay you for your "cleaned out" cheato. I'm lucky that mine does, it's not much but it's better then just throwing the stuff away.

rather than clearing out huge chunks I believe you should do a little every week depending on growth rate.
