Fuge flow concern

+1 on total system flow. Not sure on your total volume, but that sump is plenty big enough for a single turbo, but thats just my two cents, but I would get trochus anyways. Definitely try and get both of your overflows through the filter socks, and as mentioned... monitor your feeding better. As @saltyfilmfolks stated, a small powerhead would help as well. You should definitely be able to resolve the issue without tearing the sump apart; that should be a last resort.

I could drill some holes or remove this divider.

This pic looks pretty good to me though. Check the return rate, I prefer mine higher, but IMO the sump should be dirty. if its not the tank probably is.

Lots of info here wow. Ok it's a 110g DT with dual overflows and returns, sump is 40. No clue on return rate, I can't read it either. There is a small round shell snail and at least 2 mini brittle stars in the sump, I was going to get a turbo this weekend but then thought I would get the other after I heard it would die.

I have been able to increase flow slightly by moving the sand and rocks around a little so I will keep doing that.

I have a feeding ring in the mail so I will hold off on the dry food or shut off return to feed that.

I added the baffles in the sump and am dealing with diatoms in dt from New sand mixed with old dirty sand but not real concerned with it yet.

do you know what size or gph the pump is? or is that what can't be read.

call it 120 gal total vol(minus rock etc) 120x5=600
so you prob at 5x. that pretty good. a smaller pump, not so good

Someone's next sig: "If your sump's not dirty, your tank probably is." -- Salty

I put a pump in the sump just to make that dirt jump.

Bahahahahah.....

You saw the one about the spit?

Ok so I'll probably wait a little longer for the pods. I'll get more snails, a cucumber and a fromia star for the DT.

Thx again for all the responses and help.

I saw mixed thoughts about turbo snail so I might wait on that one.

Pers. I'd reccomend the pods over the cucbmer. If a pod population is under fed the population just goes down. A cucumber dies.

My sand needs a little attention in main tank, that's why I was thinking cucumber.

I didn't see any pod packs that were amphipod/copepod, where's a good place to get?
