Fuge help

Hi all I’m setting up my new tank next weekend (small upgrade from a 65 w small sump to 75 with trigger 36, would have went bigger but second floor apartment) I just need help setting up my new sump/ fuge. So chamber one is for the skimmer. Number two is the fuge. Do I need sand/mud ? I was planning on a couple chunks of rock and cheato ? Is that wrong? I appreciate the help..

Rock and Chaeto is all I have in my Trigger 44 (and a H380). My chaeto grows great, took a little while for it to start out competing hair algae but now it thrives. Sand/Mud is not necessary.

All you need is chaeto and light. The rock is good but not nessessary.

I just have some dry rock rubble (now live rock), that I smashed up into golf ball size pieces with a hammer. No sand.
