Has anyone ever done this for a fuge and how has it worked out for you?
I am going to attempt a fuge under my tank and I thought of this idea, one pump in my sumo pumps to the fuge tank and a pump in the fuge tank pumps back into the sump, pics are hard to depict but I hope you can see what I'm saying, both pumps are exactly the same so in theory it should work, any help is good help and I know my wires are all over the place I'll be cleaning that up once the fuge is up and running.

hopefully pics can help u see what I'm trying to do, it's hard to get a good pic

The issue I see with this is using 2 pumps. Even though they are rated the same it is highly unlikely that they pump the exact same amount and over time the amount each pump puts out will change so keeping them balanced would be virtually impossible.

I've got an idea, skip the refuge altogether... See how that works first... If anything you'll know that your tank needs it, as opposed to a toy down below...

I agree.....all it takes is for one of the two pumps to operate under less than perfect conditions and it will throw the whole thing out of balance. Even if you put a gate valve on each pump, you will still have to watch it and make adjustments as needed.

This hobby is kind of like chess. Why win in 10 moves when it can be done in 5? KISS, GL.

Just out of curiosity though, what are your parameters right now? Within limits, or way off?
