Hello

I am considering getting a Red Sea Max S-650. I like the idea of plug n play and the system seems to have everything I really need except for a fuge.

I currently have a 110gal mixed reef with an eshopps R 300 sump but I want a larger tank.

HOW would one incorporate a good sized fuge into the Red Sea's sump? I know it can be done (I think)
I am currently using the Triton method but MIGHT switch over to ATI Essentials since it's hare to get Triton and the containers often arrive damaged and leaking.

Any ideas?
Any advice on my choice of tank (Red Sea Max S-650)?

The max are great tanks, @SPR1968 has a beautiful 650.

My initial thought was actually a Pax Bellum ARID, but I consider a fuge lower maintenance than running a reactor. The reactor has the form factor going for it thou. You could DIY some arylic screens in the sump, this company makes Triton replacement sumps for the Reefer Series. Potentially, you could get one for S-Series as well.

Sorry I missed your thread but yes as @HolisticBear says I’ve got the 2016 Max S 650 LED and if you want to see a full blown reef system come and say hello on my build thread below.

The sump in the 650 is big enough for a refugium if that’s your plan. The left hand side has lots of space for whatever you want.

The Max S 650 Tanks are stunning and I would buy one again without hesitation. Everything is hidden away so no wires and they are simply beautiful.
