I would keep them separate if you can. Corals and macro-algae usually have different lighting requirements. The fuge lighting is on for 12 hours every night - always on the same intensity.

For frag lighting, I decrease the PAR for new corals, and then slowly ramp the lighting up over the course of a month or so to match what my display tank will be hitting them with. I find acclimating them slowly gives the best results and reduces loss.

Im talking no fuge at all just using the fuge area as a frag setup ill just run skimmer and reactors

I have had a frag area in the sump for over 10 years, it’s very convenient to place newly made frags there and hold them without cluttering up the display. As well as a place to hold new frags if you don’t have a freestanding frag tank.

Snapped a quick phone pic on the way out of the house this morning. Hopefully the quality isn’t too bad.

Going to go ahead and go this route im waiting for pricing and release of the new bashsea smart series and will pick one up local shop has a few used ai primes so going to go that route

I have used a metal halide pendant, black box LED, T5, and now the Radion XR15 Pro and they all have worked, AI Prime should work too.

I should mention that the flow through the sump probably won’t be enough if you put acros down there. I ended up adding a MP10 for flow.
