fuge light advice needed

I am looking to buy a fuge light to grow macros. my fuge is 18"wide, 18" high, 12" deep. Does anyone think this would be a good choice?

thank you
In all honesty, no, probably not. With a fuge that big I feel it wouldnt cover that footprint effectively. For the same price you can get this. There are multiple users in here who use it with great success, and it's around the same price :) @BigJohnny is one of them :)

Mostly 5 star ratings is a pretty good sign. I use the chaetomax led in my trigger sump but it’s not as big as your dimensions.

I bought a used mars hydro 300 w light and it burned my chaeto white in a day. Don't know the right wattage of light to get. so many lights on amazon

For perspective, an XR30 Pro is a 170watt fixture. I think the Galaxy Hydro I have is a 60 watt fixture.

I also killed my cheato with a mars hydro light. I guees to much light in a confined space. It loved my little 60w grow light.

Buy an inexpensive aluminum reflector and a LED flood light. It will work fine. Spend the money you'll save on a cool coral for your DT.

You cannot really screw this up. I have been able to grow Chaeto under a clip-on reflector with Incandescent and CFL daylight bulbs... but you can do better than that with just a normal/flood daylight LED bulb and save some wattage. The stuff is as easy as it gets to light, IMO.

thanks for answering. Should it be a grow light floodlight or regular?
I haven't tested a daylight flood v. a grow lamp, but I suspect it wouldn't make much difference. FWIW, I've used various CFLs and LEDs with a spectrum ranging from warm white to 6500K with good success (nutrient control is excellent in any case.)
